International Foundation Year for Arts and Social Sciences students' perspectives on the use of Generative AI in their learning and assessments.
We are currently investigating how international students on the International Foundation Year (IFY) for Arts and Social Sciences are using Generative AI tools during their studies and assignments. This project’s purpose is to uncover students’ academic habits and perceptions in relation to uses of Generative AI on a Language Centre ELU module during the 2025–26 academic year, especially concerning Amber-rated assessments and the new learning resources that support them.
