Social Theory, Identity and Agency and Professional Association – Alex Ding – A.Ding@leeds.ac.uk
My scholarship consists of various writing and editing projects this year. I am co-editor of the Bloomsbury series New Perspectives for English for Academic Purposes and I will be contributing the following:
- Writing a chapter for the ‘English for Academic Purposes in Higher Education: Politics and Policies’ volume (edited by Bee Bond and Ian Bruce) entitled ‘Practitioner Association and Associations’.
- Co-editing (with Michelle Evans) a volume entitled ‘‘Social Theory for English for Academic Purposes: Foundations and Perspectives’. I am writing an extended introduction as well as an 8,000 word chapter on Bourdieu. Other contributors to the volume are Michelle Evans, Jim Martin, Jackie Tuck, Karl Maton, Steve Kirk, Julia Molinari, Ian Bruce, Adrian Holliday, Haynes Collins and Yolanda Cerda.
- Co-editing (with Laetitia Monbec) a volume on Practitioner Agency and Identity. The call for chapters has been published and we are collating potential authors and chapters.
