Comics and graphic novels to enrich language learning experiences – Jess Poole – J.C.Poole@leeds.ac.uk 
I’m interested in the varied ways in which comics and graphic novels can be used to enrich language learning experiences. I want to investigate if there is something perhaps unique about the combination of text and image that we find in comics and graphic novels, than can be used to facilitate stimulating, memorable and transformative language learning opportunities. I also aim to explore the extent to which comics and graphic novels can help us foster inclusive and creative learning environments.
