Film and drama in language teaching: Being creative to support language acquisition

In this short presentation, Leah Wang - Lecturer in Chinese - talks about using film and drama as a creative practice in language teaching and learning. The idea is through the performance of film plots or drama, students can actively engage in second language learning. Drawing from examples from teaching Chinese and English, the presentation aims to share experiences and invite discussions on incorporating the performance of film plots or drama into language teaching. This imaginative and creative method can enrich the learning experiences for language students, but also can be challenging as it requires extra technical support.
